An Austrian national, has been charged with terrorism and explosive-related crimes in connection with a thwarted plot by the Islamic State to bomb a Taylor Swift concert in Vienna in August 2024. He is identified as a 21-year old Beran A, was arrested for making bombs and planning an attack to kill people. Due to this, the sold out concert got canceled, leaving thousands of fans heartbroken. 

The suspect, who could serve up to 20 years in prison, is believed to have been radicalized by the internet and had previously considered staging an attack in Dubai before settling on the concert.
